County Board once again tables pipeline permit

Earlier this week, Appalmad wrote to the Augusta County Board of Zoning Appeals on behalf of Augusta County residents concerned about a 34-acre laydown yard that the Atlantic Coast Pipeline wants to operate in the County’s agricultural district.

At today’s hearing on that proposal, the Board agreed that ACP failed to demonstrate the laydown yard would be safe and consistent with neighboring land uses. The Board voted to table the matter until next month, when it will accept further information from citizens, state agencies, and the Pipeline. Read our full letter here.
